DB-HeavyWax

  • Polyethylene glycol (PEG)
  • Maximum operating temperatures of 280 °C isothermal and 290 °C programmed
  • Fast analysis: shorter run times due to extended temperature limit
  • Retention time stability and increased column lifetime even when used at maximum operating temperatures
  • Ability to bake out the column at the end of the analysis to reduce sample matrix effect and limit carryover and the risk of ghost peaks

The Agilent J&W DB-HeavyWAX Polyethylene Glycol (PEG) is a high temperature WAX column that can operate at higher maximum temperatures compared to standard WAX columns. The higher maximum temperature limit allows for shorter run times, providing a lower cost per test. The column provides retention time stability and increased column lifetime, even when used at maximum operating temperatures. The ability to bake out the column at the end of the analysis reduces sample matrix effects, limiting carryover and the risk of ghost peaks. The column also exhibits very low bleed, which results in better signal-to-noise ratios and lower detection limits (LOD), especially for late eluting compounds.
