Recommended for aggressive acid digests including hydrofluoric acid (HF), semiconductor samples and for analysis of organic solvents using Oxygen/Argon option gas.
The influence of good quality plasma/vacuum interface design on the overall performance and sensitivity of an ICP-MS system is vitally important and high quality interface cones are key elements. ICP-MS interfaces comprise of a step-down vacuum stage located between a pair of conical metal plates, known as interface cones. Interface cones extract positively charged ions produced in the plasma into the vacuum system and the first and second cones are referred to as the sample cone and skimmer cone, respectively.
